Privacy Policy

Data Collection

The Protected Health Information that Zio collects may include: biographical information, insurance information, address and phone number, payment inforamtion, primary indication, your ECG (heart monitoring) records, symptoms and activites you report, activity level during monitoring, clinical information and diagnostic results.

Data Sharing

Zio may share your data for public health and research purposes; to inform your family, close friends, and others involved in your care or payment for your care if you agree or do not object in certain circumstances; to disclose PHI of military personnel to or inmates or other persons in lawful custody, national security activities and protected services; and to conduct business activities such as quality assessment and improvement activities and use deidentified data for research, business, planning, data analytics, and other “lawful purposes.”

Privacy Rights

Your rights include accessing health records that iRythym maintains about you, amend or delete data, request and receive a list of non-routine disclosures made of your PHI (subject a fee if requested if more than once in a 12-month period), request or restrict disclosure of PHI (although iRhythym is not required to agree to a requested restriction), request to communicate with you in confidence about your PHI, and make complaints about your privacy rights.
